The Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad offers a number of Special Excursions throughout the year.

These excursions offer a special opportunity to experience the railroad outside of the regularly scheduled trains. Specials often include travel outside of the regularly scheduled travel corridor and often include additional rider opportunities!


Valentines Day Special Excursion February 13, 2016

Bring your Sweetheart on this scenic, three hour round trip excursion departing from Garibaldi, Oregon and traveling north along the coast then returning to Garibaldi. Enjoy a catered meal and views of Tillamook Bay, Nehalem Bay and the Pacific Ocean seated in enclosed dining cars. Create memories you won’t forget!

First Annual Post Winterail Steam Excursion

With Winterail now in Corvallis, Oregon we could not miss the oppurtunity to welcome the attendees to this great railfan event to ride along the Beautiful Oregon Coast behind a famous former California Steam Locomotive!

Join us for a four hour roundtrip steam excursion with former McCloud River Railroad #25 from Garibaldi to Wheeler, Oregon. Enjoy views of Tillamook Bay, the Pacific Ocean and Nehalem Bay. The trip will include at least two photo runbys (more weather permitting.) The trip departs at 9:00 am and will return by 1:00 pm.
